Artist Biography
Dave Armistead received his BFA from The Atlanta College of Art in 2005 and then completed his MFA from Clemson University in 2013. Currently, Armistead is the Senior Museum Preparator at the Michael C. Carlos Museum on Emory University’s campus. Previously, he worked as a professor of painting, sculpture, foundations and art appreciation at Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia.
Armistead has exhibited his work at the Woodruff Arts Center, (Atlanta, Georgia), Agnes Scott College (Decatur, Georgia), University of Wisconsin (Madison, Wisconsin), and Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia (Atlanta, Georgia) among others.
